Dr. Joe Kopacz
VP - Software Engineering &
AI Strategy
Dr. Joe Kopacz serves as Vice President of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Strategy, where he is at the helm of developing and executing strategic software and AI initiatives driving innovation, efficiency, and discriminating mission capabilities. Joe has extensive experience in both Aerospace and AI/ML, leading transformative programs that harness the power of AI across a diverse range of domains.
Erik Daehler
VP - Defense, Satellites & Spacecraft Systems
Erik Daehler is the Vice President of Defense, Satellites & Spacecraft Systems. In this capacity, he is responsible for the development, production and innovation of all satellite products and national security defense missions for Sierra Space. He brings 24 years of aerospace and defense experience, with a broad background in program management, business development and product innovation.
Speed Franklin
Manager - Software Engineering
Speed Franklin was recently promoted to be an Engineering Manager and has a diverse background in Software Engineering! He works on the Bus Flight Software teams as both a Senior C++ Software Engineer as well as a tech lead for one of the Sierra Space Defense programs. He joined Sierra Space last summer and is well-versed in developing software for STEM applications.
